  2. I liked this movied because it was something so different from Naveen's other movies. Only an amazingly talented actor could pull of nerdy when he is so incredibly handsome.

I have also often wondered how he prepared for the role of Steve Bannerjee. I read that Naveen spent a week shadowing Dr. Abraham Verghese for "My Own Country", so how does one prepare for a role of already dead?

And I also wonder what Bannerjee's family thought of Naveen's protrayal?

Dr. Verghese has said that Naveen's protrayal of him was so on target and his own family thought that Naveen's voice doing the narrative at the beginning of "My Own Country" was Dr. Verghese himself!

  4. Hey there Janet! Whatever Naveen does, he puts great thought and consideration into every single role. It's amazing that the guy doesn't have an entire shelf full of Oscars, really. The quality of his performances is that good. It would be nice for him to get the recognition he deserves!
